Hello, sweet Friday! So for today’s Q & A I’ll be doing the most recent book tag I’ve been tagged to do thanks to Beth. I know this isn’t a Q & A sesh, but I figured I would do it anyway because I almost always do a tag on these days.
Rules
- Randomly choose 3 books (Tip: Use the “Sort > Random” option on your Goodreads’ Read shelf.).
- For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread (a lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill).
- Repeat until you completed three rounds (or five).
I will be doing 3 I think. Depends – let’s see how this goes!
*********
Round 1
Burn: The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad for sure. That book was… *shudders* My friends and I call it “Heart of Dankness”
Rewrite: The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin; The ending of this book crushed my heart. I need to actually finish the series so please don’t spoil me!!
Reread: Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell; I’m in love. I want a Park in addition to my Beau.
Round 2
Burn: The Death Cure by James Dashner; The end of this series was just really confusing for me. By all means it wasn’t a bad book!
Rewrite: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins; Just a few things I would tweak!
Reread: City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare; Simon Lewis you say? Yes, please!
Round 3
Burn: Rules for 50/50 Chances by Kate McGovern; This book was just meh for me. Not bad, not good.
Rewrite: The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold; Only because this book freaked me the butt out
Reread: I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson; I’m in love with this book. I want an Oliver in addition to my Beau and Park 🙂
Round 4
Burn: Candide by Voltaire; I read this for my AP Lit class thinking I would love it, but it turns out I hate it.
Rewrite: Firstlife by Gena Showalter; Same as The Hunger Games I would only tweak a few things 🙂
Reread: Not if I See You First by Eric Lindstrom; Such a sweet read! I’m so glad this was the December Uppercase read 🙂
Round 5
Burn: Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee; She’s my favorite author, yet I can’t love this one
Rewrite: My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult; Just because the ending also broke my heart
Reread: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte; Reader, I reread the book.
**********
Well, I did it! I made all 5 rounds! While I don’t support burning (or banning) books this was a really fun tag!
Who I nominate
Happy reading!
Sophie 🙂
I loved your answers! I’ve been seeing this tag everywhere, and I’ve been wanting to do it. Thank you so much for tagging me!
