General Update: My Bookish Life pt. 13 (I think I´m counting right)

Hello, happy Saturday! Can you feel the summer vibes creeping up on you? I surely can – the weather is especially giving me the itch to be outside. Reading outside is one of the best things to do. Ever.

So for those of you new to the blog, every Saturday I talk about myself and what I have been up to lately. This is the only day that I do so, and if you’re wondering if there is any other method to my madness you can view my posting schedule here.

This week…

This are continuing to mellow down in my AP classes. We don’t do much anymore other than sit around. I do things for my two other classes that aren’t AP or I read, which is great. I work a lot on the blog during this time, too.

I auditioned for drum major of my band, but sadly did not make it. Congratulations to my lovely co-founder Maiya for snagging one of the positions though! Our show this year is Phantom of the Opera and it’s bound to be a great show.

Graduation was Thursday. It was super hot, but it got better once the sun went down. I’m glad we’re all done with the ceremony and stuff. I’m glad it’s me next year – Pomp and Circumstance is not the most fun tune to play.

I finished two more books! I read The Last Boy and Girl in the World by Siobhan Vivian who I had the pleasure of interviewing the previous week (you can read it here), and I also got to The Girl Who Fell by Shannon M. Parker. Both were excellent reads, so expect reviews to come soon! I’m currently reading The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan, which is a nice change from the heavy subject in Parker’s book.

Today…

I might audition for a local orchestra, but I haven’t been very organized about it. I feel kind of discombobulated about it. And underprepared.

Later on I have to stop in at work to see if they need help around there.

Next week…

Will be pretty quiet. I don’t think there’s much going on except for preparation for finals. I’m glad this year is wrapping up soon. I’m ready to be done.
