    ICYMI here’s a mini recap of last week

    • Renee Ahdieh will publish a second duology

    Bustle’s website had all the details surrounding Ahdieh’s new books deal. The first book is titled The Flame in the Mist and is going to be a retake on Mulan. Ahdieh says the setting of this new series is feudal Japan and will highlight Japanese culture like The Wrath and the Dawn. The first book is set to drop on May 2, 2017. 

    • Ellen Oh and Elsie Chapman are creating a Southeast Asian anthology

    The anthology will include myths and legends again Asian culture and many short stories. Some contributing authors include Renee Ahdieh, Roshani Chokshi, Melissa de la Cruz, and Julie Kagawa. 

    • HarperCollins arranged a book deal with Lindsey Cummings and Sasha Alsberg

    Zenith is a book co-authored by the two ladies that was originally serialized and self-published as e-books. It follows an all girl intergalactic space crew set to defeat a dictator bent on civil war.
